I have been an enthusiastic user of Rothiemurchus Lodge for over 20 years, and when it appeared we might lose this fantastic facility, I engaged the hierarchy of the Royal Navy to come to its rescue. After this, joining the Management Committee was the only option!

Flt Lt Ally Park is the Physical Education Officer at RAF Leuchars and is responsible for the delivery of the RAF's Fitness Stategy Training, Adventurous Training and Sports' polices within the unit. Ally is the RAF Representative for Rothiemurchus Lodge, ensuring that the facility receives maximum exposure within this Service, its ex-serving personnel and the Air Cadets organisation.

Major Geoff Chapman APTC is serving at HQ 2nd Division as the SO2 PD. Responsible for the delivery of the Army’s Fitness Training, Adventurous Training and Sports’ polices within Northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Geoff is the secretary for the Rothiemurchus committee and as such supports the committee in achieving its aim of improving the lodge and expanding its use.

Property

As Rothiemurchus falls into the 51 (Sc) Bde AOR and in previous years was solely managed by the Bde we still keep an avid interest, hence my inclusion on the Management Committee. My role is to assist the caretaker on all aspects of property within the Lodge. This includes purchase, disposal, maintainance planning and seeking funds for new projects.

WO2 Iain Thompson, Site Estate Representative (SER) for Rothiemurchus Lodge, responsible for the implementation and running of all Planned Maintenance, and the identification of future construction, mechanical and electrical projects to enhance the facilities.
