How to Find Us
Getting to Rothiemurchus Lodge
Approaching from the south, Rothiemurchus Lodge is just 7 miles from the Highland village of Aviemore. Leave the A9 when you see the signs for Aviemore and head for Coylumbridge. You will then be running parallel to the A9 for about 1 mile. Take the turn off for the A951 which is signposted Rothiemurchus, Coylumbridge and the Cairngorms. Keep on this road for about 5 miles (past the Camp Site and Shooting Ground).
A small red sign on the left hand side indicates Rothiemurchus Lodge 450 mtrs. You will then approach the sign for Glenmore Forest Park, and the Bailey Bridge entrance to the lodge is a further 100mtrs on the right-hand side. The only access to the lodge for vehicles is via an unsurfaced forest track. The gate is kept locked but you should be provided with the lock combination prior to your arrival. If not, telephone the Lodge Manager. After crossing the bridge, the lodge is 2.5 miles up the road. Please observe the speed limit of 15mph as this both preserves the track and ensures the integrity of your vehicle. Also be aware of walkers and bikers using the track.
ALL VISITORS REQUIRING ACCESS FOR VEHICLES MAY CONTACT THE MANAGER ON 01479 861288
Winter Weather - Vehicles requiring access between November and April are highly likely to require snow chains. Alternatively vehicles may be left at the bottom of the track. The Lodge Committee and Lodge Manager are not liable for either damage sustained on the track or for recovery of stranded vehicles or passengers. If in doubt please phone ahead and check conditions on the track.
It is regretted that dogs are not permitted at the Lodge.
