Getting to Rothiemurchus Lodge
Approaching from the south, Rothiemurchus Lodge is just 7 miles from the Highland village of Aviemore. Leave the A9 when you see the signs for Aviemore and head for Coylumbridge. You will then be running parallel to the A9 for about 1 mile. Take the turn off for the A951 which is signposted Rothiemurchus, Coylumbridge and the Cairngorms. Keep on this road for about 5 miles (past the Camp Site and Shooting Ground).
When you see the sign for Glenmore Forest Park, the Bailey Bridge entrance to the lodge is 100mtrs on the right-hand side. The only access to the lodge for vehicles is an all weather unsurfaced road. The entrance to this road is by a steel deer-proof gate which is kept locked at all times. You should be provided with the lock combination prior to your arrival. If not, telephone the Lodge Manager. After crossing the bridge, the Lodge is 2.5 miles up the road. The speed limit is 15mph, please be aware of walkers and bikers using the track.
